Dependents

A dependent is a person related to the primary enrollee of a dental plan and is also covered by that same dental plan. Family dental insurance and group dental insurance are both examples of dental plans where dependents are covered.

A spouse or a child may be a dependent. In a group dental plan, dependents must be related to an employee of the organization providing the group dental coverage.
